PLUS SIZE WOMEN OF THE REGION DEMAND MORE FROM CARIBBEAN DESIGNERS–
A Call For Clothing & Accessory Designers, Make-Up & Hair Stylists

Statistics across the Caribbean are showing the unavoidable truth – the majority of our region’s women are not size ‘0’. All over the world, plus size fashion week events are growing in esteem and designers are including sizes above ‘12’ in their collections, opening plus size sections of department stores and creating fashionable lines for larger ladies. In 2012, it is time for Caribbean designers to catch up and take up the challenge.

The focus of the Caribbean Fashion Plus +Week 2012 (CFPW 2012) is to create a fashion-forward environment for the Caribbean within which the needs of the plus-size (ladies) and big-and-tall (gents) communities of the world can be served. CFPW 2012 is an international event, open to all clothing and accessory designers, make-up and hair stylists, which will facilitate and encourage business networking, fashion education seminars and will support the on-going process of building a more prominent plus-size fashion industry on the Caribbean.

Hosts, CARIVOG International intend for Caribbean Fashion Plus Week to be the event at which the Caribbean and International industry can come together, not just for the fashion, but for the business side of the Plus Size industry where opportunities can be created.

Save the date! The entire plus size fashion week runs from 31st October to grand finale "Runway Caribbean” on 4th November 2012 at the Cascadia Hotel, St. Ann’s. The final runway will showcase an exciting selection of the latest designs from the Caribbean and around the world for the plus-size and big-and-tall community.
