Trinidad & Tobago will once again be represented at the annual Miss Jamzone International Pageant with Renee Bhagwandeen, Miss Trinidad & Tobago International representing the twin islands on August 21st.

Renee was born in Trinidad and Tobago and migrated to the United States at the age of 6. She returned to Trinidad and Tobago to pursue her dream of representing her country in the international pageant Miss Universe. After winning Miss Photogenic and placing top 8, in the Miss Trinidad and Tobago Universe Pageant she was handpicked by pageant experts to represent her beloved country in another International pageant called Miss International Woman. Shortly after the Miss Trinidad and Tobago Universe competition, she was flown to Canada and placed runner up and again Miss Photogenic, which qualified her to be Trinidad and Tobago’s Official delegate for the third largest pageant in the world, the Miss International Beauty Pageant.

At the Miss International Woman Pageant she was elected Miss Photogenic becoming the 1st ever black woman to win the award in the pageant’s history as well as placing in the top 15, being the only Caribbean delegate in the top 15 at Miss International in China in 2011.

The annual Miss Jamzone International Pageant is organized by Hits and Jams Entertainment who coordinate not only the renowned pageant but "JAMZONE SUMMER BREAK” annually in Guyana. The pageant will feature delegates from around the Caribbean including Guyana who will vie for the coveted crown and top prize of US $10,000, runner ups will also benefit from prizes valued at US $15,000.

Last year’s Miss Jamzone International winner, Davia Chambers who was Miss Trinidad & Tobago 2010 and represented the nation in the Miss World pageant, set a precedent that Miss Bhagwandeen hopes to follow. She hopes to show the world that Trinbagonians are the most beautiful women in the world and she is well on her way to proving that point after beating out 82 of 100 other women in the World’s Most Beautiful Women of 2011.
