The Honourable Anil Roberts, Minister of Sport, bid farewell to this country’s two representatives at the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Shanntol Ince (Swimming) and Carlos Greene (Athletics) are the medal hopefuls for Trinidad & Tobago at the quadrennial event.

Speaking about Trinidad & Tobago’s chances at medalling, Minister Roberts stated: “I’m sure Shanntol and Carlos have looked on at the tremendous effort of the Olympians; making finals and earning precious metal. They should be buoyed by these impressive performances and leave these shores with extra confidence that Trinidad & Tobago can mount the rostrum. We want them both to do their best – medal or not.”

Shanntol and Carlos, accompanied by a team from the Trinidad & Tobago Paralympic Committee departed for London on Friday.
