Queen's Hall will echo with the VOICE OF A PEOPLE on November 23rd, 2012.

3canal and the cut+clear crew, Mungal Patasar and Pantar, Mavis John, Muhammad Muwakil along with M.C Llewllyn ,Short Pants' Mac Intosh will combine forces in VOICE OF A PEOPLE, a production of Curtain Call Consulting Co. Ltd. (Curtain Call)

This one night only performance of VOICE OF A PEOPLE features our culturally diverse musical art forms, our national instrument - the steel pan - and of course live Parang (as is fitting during this festive season). This is a prime opportunity to enjoy some of the best of of Trinidad and Tobago’s entertainment all at one place and at one time.

3 Canal and the Cut and clear crew are known for their conscious lyrics, philosophy and stance on local music. Their Music Liberation Front initiative is a vehicle and a platform for the promotion and proliferation of T&T's indigenous musical expressions.

Also on the playbill, is Trinidad's celebrated sitarist, Mungal Patasar and Pantar. Pantar, whose name was derived from the steelpan and sitar, was founded on the philosophy that music is a universal language that eclipses mundane physical and ethnic boundries.

Mavis John - the First lady of Caribbean Jazz and Soul- and Muhammad Muwakil - the voice of this generation- add even greater depth to this already powerful cast.

Tying the knot between each of the performances is the the griot.. the calypsonian Llewllyn ‘Short Pants’ Mac Intosh who recently shined in his acting debut as “The Mighty Creator” in the production of Rum and Coca Cola.

VOICE OF A PEOPLE is sponsored by Courts, J&K Signature Styles, Newsday and Carib Clean.

It is produced by Curtain Call Consulting Company Limited, a local entity involved in the business of entertainment, offering that rare balance of artistic creativity and professional ethic. Curtain Call has, on its roster, a series of experienced associates in the fields such as: marketing, event management, technical live-event production, accounting and entertainment law. VOICE OF A PEOPLE follows on Curtain Call’s previous production ‘Inspiration’ held at the Little Carib Theatre in April, 2012.
Tickets for Voice of a People are $220 for general $250 for reserved. Showtime is 8:00 pm.
