For anyone not living in Trinidad these lyrics resonate and for the mostly foreign crew Zante did not disappoint. With a change in venue from last year to a spacious car park across from Esche's at the end of the Avenue the stage was set for a bigger and better party (and yes literally, there was a stage too). Once you pass the gateman (Hi Keron!) was drinks on your left and right and food to the back. Eating for days... ah come for dat? :) and then the rains came.... and guess what.... ah come for dat too!!

Unlike last year though where the venue was a former restuarant with indoor/outdoor areas this was all outdoor with some shelter available but not in one central location. When folks realized the rain wasn't going to completely stop however they let loose and "everybody got wet, they hair done wet, they chest done wet! they back done wet!" After all, they are the anti-stoosh and they does raise de party! BOOM!

How could you not let go - rain or no rain - when DJ Private Ryan, Kaotic, DJ Majestic, Anonymus and the Red Crew on the inside (yes even the Red Rasta who tried to leave some gold on the console. Bet you eh DJ with no jewelry on your hand again?! lololol). He made Private Ryan live up to his moniker as "the most versatile dj in the world" yes ... man was mixing and sorting out the console at the same time yes.

Then came some treats in the form of past Road March winner Shurwayne Winchester who had the crowd moving with his goodies (music that is, tsk tsk). And he has some good goodies. He even put a lil throw back in there with some Conga Line! Who say Trini's can't follow instructions?!? Was Conga Line in de place.... uhhuuh! Also giving a good performance was Devon Matthews and joker that he is referred to himself in the 3rd person when saying bye to the crowd. Hey, somebody noticed and it wasn't jus Jas, the MC.. lolol. Nice touch.

But wait, is that? Was that? Santana, or Super Dave? "Jump and wine and wave" Even he from Miami come for dat too! The ladies were smitten with him to say the least... and the man can salsa! PICANTE!

Music - check. Vibe - check. Food and drinks - check check. Good time had by all - call de bank cuz we need more checks!!!
