We arrived at Stage 48, and quickly found a parking spot on the street. Which is amazing for the busy Manhattan streets on a holiday weekend. We considered it pure luck! We walked to the venue and found no lines outside, which scared us considering that it was already after 6pm and the show was due to start at 7pm. We entered to an easy breezy security check and welcoming staff. Rhona Fox greeted us warmly, and made sure we were hooked up for the night. After checking in our coats, we entered at the VIP balcony, which was already buzzing with a few party-goers socializing over drinks. We looked over the balcony to see that the party was already jumping on the lower level, seeing a sea of people ready to take the night.

Timeless brought out a mixed crowd of music lovers, and it was hard to determine who came to see which performers. People of all ages seemed to be just as eager and excited to take in both performances. Which made us believe that name, Timeless, was beyond suitable for this event.

The entire night was filled with straight TUNES, courtesy of DJ Callie B and DJ Kevin Crown. Not a tune was replayed (except for the biggest tunes to mash up T&T for Carnival - and even those played no more than twice). For such a sophisticated, well put together, well dress crowd of sexy people ... these people really knew how to get on bad. There were even a few celebrities in our midst taking in the vibes including Tatyana Ali, who was celebrating her sisters' bachelorette party weekend, and photographer/film director Jonathan Mannion, who recently directed Trinidad James' video "Females Welcomed".

Finally at about 9:30pm the show started! No matter where you were standing or sitting you had a good view. International legendary smooth soulful voice of Maxi Priest opened the show. He sang a variety of tunes from his catalog of music ranging new and old. Oldies but goodies like "Close to You", "Wild World", and "Just A Little Bit Longer" had the crowd in a frenzy. His guitarist, JJ Sansaverino killed the set with his skills and added even more excitement to the performance. Maxi brought out guest artist like Red Fox and Beniton The Menance to accompany him on stage.

The crowd was highly anticipating KES, and a number of party-goers represented their colors. With flags of different islands in hand, they were ready for the soca set! Mr. NuTRON gave a quick performance of "Bubblin" and "Professional" to get the crowd back in the groove. KES the Band finally took the stage with hit after hit after hit from "Thief A Wine", "Yuh Body Workin", "Ah Ting", "Rum and Soca", "Wotless" and the list goes on! KES even covered a number of the biggest tunes for T&T Carnival by his fellow soca artist like Blaxx "Leh Go" but then cooled it back down with "Tuesday On The Rocks" bring back that sweet reggae-soca vibe.

Timeless was surely the place to be. This event was a can't miss event that was far from disappointing. There was absolutely no better way to spend Easter Sunday, than immersed in a Caribbean fusion and lovely people, at one of the trendiest locations in New York City. We must big up Tryst Experience and Big & Strong for bringing us all together for this high energy event. We definitely hope the vibe continues because we cannot wait for the next event. We absolutely have to give a special shout out to Chef Shorne for being THE best host. He definitely worked the crowd the entire night and made sure his party-goers were satisfied all night. That's  how it is done!
