“We have a responsibility as a frequency that holds a national radio license- national means both Trinidad and Tobago. We’re attempting to keep our commitment.” ---- Neil “The Boss” Iwer George.

Trinidad and Tobago has finally found the connection that will bind the people in a way that many have anticipated but never orchestrated. On Monday, December 8, 2008 history was made as the twin island paradise that though politically meshed, for centuries remained culturally disconnected, found its axis in Trinibashment 91.9FM- The All Soca Station.

Many may ponder on this reality but one moment taken to simply stop and listen to the station that has acquired the fame of being the Favorite Online Soca Station in 2008, will change all doubts, as it is here that Trinidad and Tobago have finally become one island united by culture.

The station which has already made its mark in Trinidad, became the first of its kind to broadcast simultaneously on the FM band from sister isle, Tobago during the station’s “Breakfast Show,” programme with hosts, TC, Isha Wells and Sarge, in Trinidad, while over in Tobago, manning the controls were Tobago’s very own Mr. B, accompanied by Mad Indian.

The brand new, multi-million dollar, state of the art studio is located at Spence Plaza, StoreBay Local Road in Crown Point, Tobago and like its Trinidad counterpart, boasts equipment, the likes of which will make any DJ and announcer blissfully eager to do the job. In fact, so great boasts the technology that announcers and dj’s can perform their duties at any facility that most suits their convenience, at any given time.

CEO of the 4-year-old radio station, Neil Iwer George, says that the move has been motivated and propelled by the vision to promote the culture and encourage tourism to both Trinidad and Tobago. “Now, when tourists visit the island, they’ll receive a package- sun, sand, sea and a combined culture that uniquely describes both islands- as one. They can get crab and dumplin, Pigeon Point Beach & The All Kaisoca Station”

George says that this is also an opportunity for Tobagonian artistes who are resident to the island, to gain recognition without having to hop over to Trinidad, and with the station already embedded within the International Caribbean Diaspora, the island, the artistes, the people and all that they have to offer can be marketed as the ultimate destination.

The scheduled line up will include the morning show and mid morning set, simultaneously broadcasted while Tobago will hold its own, with great talk and music shows, all with the people and their needs in mind. Throughout each day there’ll be coordinated links that will enable the true unity that, as The Boss assures, will undoubtedly inspire change, strength of a people and growth.
