Voice Mail has set a July 16 release date for its third album Jump Off. The album is the follow up to last year’s Let’s Go which was reportedly a big seller in Japan.

Jump Off will be released by Japan’s Pony Canyon label. The label released the trio’s previous sets Hey (2006); and Let’s Go (2007).

According to Voice Mail member Craig Jackson, ‘This album is so hot. The fans are going to be surprised by the material on the album. I think it’s our best album to date’, Jackson opined.

The 16 track disc will feature collaborations with producers Christopher Birch, Steven McGregor, Danny Champagnie and the Ballaz.

Missing from this album will be the signature Voice Mail dance tunes. ‘There won’t be any dance songs on the album. We’re trying different things so you can look out for a bit of R&B, dancehall, reggae, and a little bit of techno’, said Jackson.

While the album is scheduled for European release on July 16, a stateside release is currently being negotiated.

The members of Voice Mail recently completed a photo shoot for the Jump Off album in Tokyo, Japan.
