Port-of-Spain, Trinidad – The artiste that gained poplarity in 2008 through the release of tracks such as “Get On Bad”, “Lose Control” and the popular “Behind De Truck” is back again to satisfy the appetite of Soca fans with a new arsenal of material just in time for T&T’s Carnival 2009.

Although residing in London, Richie Redz has developed a unique fan base of Soca lovers in the Caribbean region and in the Diaspora and because of the positive reactions that his 2008 singles received from audiences and media personnel in his homeland of Trinidad, he was determined to follow up with these new, fresh productions.

After a successful summer 2008 release of his groovy Soca track, “Slow Wine” the former Port-Of-Spain native has delivered two ‘spankin new’ up tempo Soca smashes produced by Iron Fist Productions.

Richie’s first release, “Turn It Up” truly breaks down the meaning of the word “bacchanal” for those unfamiliar with it. The familiar synthesizer patterns and pulsating drum beats give this song the ability to make masqueraders literally raise the dust off the ground as they parade down the streets on Carnival Monday and Tuesday.

His second offering, “Roll Dat Bumper speaks for itself.
Whether you wine, jam, flex or wuk up, this tune is definitely one to which all true Soca Junkies and Carnival enthusiasts alike can relate and appreciate.

As Richie Redz continues on his journey of creating and providing quality music, he is not only inspired by the gratitude that he has received for his musical efforts but he is also motivated by his general desire to contribute to the Soca art form.
