New York, NY (FOX FUSE) - Trinidad and Tobago just wrapped up its 2014 Carnival season and revelers were inundated with great soca offerings, including Farmer Nappy’s “Big People Party,” Benjai’s “Come Out To Play” and Tallpree’s “Jab Jab Nation,” all of which are now available for sale worldwide from all major digital retailers, from FOX FUSE. Dedicated to distributing and marketing Caribbean music to the global audience, FOX FUSE strives to make its clients household names.

Longtime client and soca star Farmer Nappy placed third in the International Groovy Soca Monarch competition with his massive groovy hit “Big People Party,” the lead single from his new album Big People Party, which was released on February 25, 2014 (both physically and digitally), by FOX FUSE. The finals of the Soca Monarch competition were held last Friday, February 28 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad on the day known to locals as “Fantastic Friday.” Big People Party is currently within the top 100 on iTunes U.S. Top Albums Reggae chart and the single debuted in the Top 10 on the iTunes Top Songs in Trinidad and Tobago, peaking at #2.

Farmer Nappy also blazed his way down the streets of Port of Spain on Carnival Tuesday (March 4), and his groovy hit “Big People Party” was the surprising anthem on the road, wining second place in the Road March competition. Road March winners are decided by the most plays a song receives by the parading bands on the road, during the entire day. It is almost unheard of for a groovy anthem to score during the Road March competition, which is usually reserved for high-energy, power soca tracks that keep the crowd marching down the road all day long.

Grenadian soca star Tallpree also competed in the finals of the Groovy Soca Monarch competition, with his offering on the Vintage Riddim, “Jab Jab Nation.” Produced by Shawn “Mr. Roots” Mitchell for WIZ Records, the Vintage Riddim presents a classic take on soca along with a fusion of Grenada’s native jab jab sounds. The same formula earned Trinidadian thriller Benjai third place in the Road March competition on Carnival Tuesday, as he also brought groovy sounds with “Come Out To Play” (featured on the Vintage Riddim). He, along with Farmer Nappy, forever changed the formula for Road March anthems.
