Carriacou’s Skinny Banton has launched his 2009 track entitled ‘No War’. Produced by Mount Zion Studio and written by Skinny its message is to encourage people to stop fighting and to jump together in love.
Skinny Banton is a Soca and Reggae artist who was born in Trinidad and moved to Carriacou (one of Grenada’s sister Islands) as a young child.
Skinny Banton started singing at the age of 12 and went on to perform with many artists such as Marlon Asher, Bunji Garlin, Baby Killa, Hasty Killa, Richie Spice, I-Sasha, Prophet Benjamin in Carriacou and throughout the Caribbean.
The Twenty two year old singer thanks Sizzla’s music for providing the inspiration for him to sing and Bunji Garlin for encouraging him in his music.
