"SPD REDEFINED" MAY 16TH – 18TH

After three fantastic years of unparalleled success, Designers United Stores is pleased to bring you our fourth installment of Tobago Fashion Weekend with our presentation of “SPD Redefined”. Our theme plays on the colloquial saying “Stone P_____ Dressed”, a phrase coined by Tobagonians back in the day, used to describe an individual who was elaborately dressed, in bright colours and trimmings, or fashionably clad to stand out in a crowd.

This year you will see your favourite elements of showing, shopping and after parties. With a world class production, and eclectic mix of 25 designers (inclusive of local veterans, international household names and some of the hottest up-and-coming in the industry) , international bloggers from popular social media outfit Fashion Bomb Daily and Street Etiquette, and an exclusive slice of T&T’s fashionable elite. We have some amazing treats in store. Included in this weekend’s audience ; local celebrities with a passion for fashion such as: Destra Garcia, Bunji Garlin, Fayann Lyons, Kenwyn Jones, Kimba Sorzano, Brent Sancho and more.

TFW 2014 also takes you to a new location. In the words of Karl Lagerfeld “Fashion is not only about clothes – it’s about all kinds of change”. We are about to transform the island’s capital on Milford Road, Scarborough for three nights. The production has been revamped to give you a different feel unlike any other while offering the usual such as our Retail Park and After Party Space.

The festivities begin Friday evening May 16th and run through Sunday May 18th and with only three days until show time, the TFW team has kicked into full gear. We are committed to our social responsibility of creating platforms and opportunities for the youth in Tobago, and in rounding up this year’s activities we have a few more highlights to look forward to:
  • TFW Next (For the Youth) – Saturday 10am @ Gulf City Mall, Lowlands
  • Stitch- to- Store (Designer Workshop) – Sunday 10am @ Stone Haven Villas
