Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. July 9, 2014 -- The adopted term, ‘summer’, for Caribbean folks signals the start of a time when all inhibitions are freed and the youths party hard. School’s out and the energy is at an all time high, and in T&T, reggae music is once again dominating the airwaves. Romain Virgo- Jamaica’s effervescent, young hit maker is at the centre of the excitement this year and this coming Saturday, he’s guaranteed to send a strong message when he performs at Forever Summer in Trinidad.

Romain is among a handful of young, reggae crooners who’ve managed to deliver music that bridges the generation gap. In the audience at the Jean Pierre Complex in Trinidad on Saturday, organisers expect to see a wide ranging demographic. “Romain has a very likeable quality and he has a big voice. He’s got a lot to say- things that we feel the youths will want to hear and the mature music lovers will enjoy listening to,” said a Forever Summer representative. The show is expected to be a sold out affair. “We re excited to deliver this show in the peak summer period in Trinidad. It’s a great cast. Tarrus Riley is a phenomenal act and he’s got a slate of hits that include, ‘She’s Royal,’‘Human Nature’, ‘Love’s Contagious,’ ‘Superman’ and his most recent monster track, ‘Gimme Likkle One Drop.’ This is a true reggae lover’s show. It’s also a good concert for the ladies so we expect to see a lot of couples in the audience,” said the rep.

Forever Summer starts at 8pm on Saturday and gates will open at the Jean Pierre Complex at 6pm. Tickets have been selling well, say organizers and many are anticipating the perks of the VIP Premium All Inclusive section which will provide a closer view of the performances, free premium drinks and of course, food, throughout the night.

Tarrus Riley we understand, is excited to meet and greet his fans in T&T. He’ll be signing autographs on Ariapita Avenue at clothing outlet- Sixty-Six on Friday between the hours of 4pm and 7pm. When he makes his entry onto the stage on Saturday night however, the music will flow uninhibited, no doubt. Fellow reggae acts, Bushman and Loyal Flames and even much loved Trinidad and Tobago entertainer, Ziggy Rankin are set to deliver to the people, a memorable showcase of great music and vibes.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the advertised outlets up until show night and there will be tickets at the door as well, but with signs of a sold out event already clear, Forever Summer tickets will likely be a hot commodity this Saturday.
