How To Self Medicate When You Have Carnival Tabanca

As the resident, in-house, Carnival Doctor for TriniJungleJuice.com I get asked all the time,  “How Can I Cure My Carnival Tabanca?”

First and foremost, Carnival Tabanca is the emotional letdown that happens after carnival. After you experience one of the most fantastic feelings in the world, there’s  absolutely nowhere to go but down.

And the answer to the question is this.....

Carnival Tabanca, cannot be cured. It’s a virus.

It’s in your system and the best you can do is to stay medicated until your next big fix.

Here’s what I would recommend:

1.    Stay Hydrated – Keep some rum on hand every now and then to help you with your tabanca. Stay “hydrated” and make sure you do not overdose on your medication :-)

2.    Get Yourself In A Group Setting – The best group setting that I can recommend is a fete. Going to a fete is the best way to get around like-minded people who are suffering just like you. To see where a fete is “near you” and so you can get the help that you need from a quality “support group” please visit the event page on TriniJungleJuice and get your fete tix from MyCarnivalBands.com. However, as a warning from carnival veteran Safiya Davy, if the party sucks, it could make your tabanca worse.

3.    Apply Soca Daily – You will need to make sure that you apply soca multiple times during the day. You will need a quality dose of groovy soca, a healthy dose of power soca and some ole skool soca just to keep your tabanca levels low so that you can function during the day.

4.    Visualization Strategies – Return to TriniJungleJuice daily and look at all the pictures from the carnivals around the world and live vicariously through the pictures. It will help you sustain yourself until the next carnival. And get on social media and watch the videos from carnival all over the world

and finally…

5.    Acceptance – accept that you are a full-fledged, tried-and-true, carnival junkie. There is no cure for your dis-ease and you have to accept that one is not available and there best thing that you can do and the best treatment is another carnival.

Therefore, go here and see when and how you can get your next carnival fix.

Blessings from here to there,

Rhadi Ferguson, PhD
