Ever notice that most of the commercials advertising vacations in the Caribbean are geared towards white people? I don't know if it's because Obama is President that I am more aware of our very narrow minded advertising but...damn, it's true.  Have you ever seen a commercial about coming to the Caribbean geared towards non Caucasians?

"Come To Jamaica And Feel Alright!" - but only if you are white, then you can come over mingle with some dreds and make friends with a small girl with braids who will fall asleep in the car on the way home with your daughter and end commercial... come on, you know you've seen that one.  "Come to Aruba"-but only if you are white, then you can come over, snorkle, eat dinner served by locals, be amazed by the beautiful natural scenery, dance the night away and then come home... but only if you are white.

Us red, brown, and yellow folk apparently don't go on vacation.  No no no, we don't want to go to the Caribbean.  I think the only time I have ever seen a commercial with ethnic people in it was when I saw an advertisement for vacationing in Puerto Rico.  This is the one and only time I have ever seen a commercial with dark haired olive complexioned people.  Does anyone else see what is wrong with this picture?  Will advertising change now that the US has a Black President?
