Pembroke Pines, FL – The management of First Fridays of Florida, LLC in partnership with WHQT HOT 105 FM have put the wheels in motion to stage the return of First Fridays Networking to South Florida on February 6, 2009. With the inauguration of the first African American President of the United States and the month of February being celebrated as Black History Month as well as Reggae Month, there was no better time to execute the return of this event.
Pembroke Pines, FL – The management of First Fridays of Florida, LLC in partnership with WHQT HOT 105 FM have put the wheels in motion to stage the return of First Fridays Networking to South Florida on February 6, 2009. With the inauguration of the first African American President of the United States and the month of February being celebrated as Black History Month as well as Reggae Month, there was no better time to execute the return of this event.

The event starts at 6PM with a traditional mixer and business card exchange followed by keynote speakers Omahar Stephenson and Mike Owen, founders of Business Events Florida, Inc., addressing the “Importance of Networking & Your Business”. In addition, a tribute to “Jamaica’s Contribution to Black History” will be delivered by Marlon Hill Esq., Jamaican Diaspora Advisory Board Member for the Southern United States.

First Fridays of Florida was established in December 2000 to host monthly events targeting urban professionals within the 25 to 55 year age range seeking a venue to network and socialize.   These events have steadily attracted upwards of 750 patrons and are geared towards quality entertainment, business networking, social/cultural enrichment and community development.

This First Fridays event typically consists of a networking social which transforms into an energetic party with live music by a band and/or disc jockeys.  The music format features current hits and oldies from the R&B, Reggae, Soca and other popular music genres.  In addition, First Fridays of Florida frequently partners with outside organizations to educate and enlighten patrons about topics concerning the community and empowering them to support and be active participants in these organizations.
