Kingston Jamaica, March 27, 2015 -- On the Mas Camp stage for the final Bacchanal Friday will be husband and wife team Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons who between them boast five Soca Monarch/International Soca Monarch titles. Bunji won first in 2002 (when he tied with Iwer George) with his song "Down in the Ghetto", 2004 with "Warrior Cry", 2005 with "Blaze the Fire" and 2008 with "Fiery". He placed second in the International Soca Monarch 2009 behind wife Fayann Lyons. In 2013, Bunji won the Soul Train Award for Best International Performance for the song "Differentology",

Fay-Ann created history when she won the International Soca Monarch for the first time in 2009 as well as the International Groovy Soca Monarch champion and the Road March becoming the first soca artist to win that soca 'triplet' of titles. She is also the first woman to have accomplished that feat while pregnant. Fay-Ann is the youngest solo artist (male or female), still actively recording. She remains the only female artist who has won the Carnival Road March three times, and is the second to attain back-to-back wins in two consecutive years. The music is no doubt in Fay Ann’s genes as she is the daughter of  Superblue, who won the Carnival Road March title nine times,  second only  Lord Kitchener, and is a seven-time winner of the Trinidad Soca Monarch competition. They will be backed by the Asylum Band. On stage also will be DJs Richie Ras and Bambino.

Lead sponsor Digicel will be at the control for the final Bacchanal Friday, according to  Kamal Powell, Senior Sponsorship and Development Manager, “It has been five weeks of non-stop feting and Digicel is pleased to be closing off the Bacchanal Fridays series for another year. Patrons can expect even more this Friday as we will have soca’s power couple Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons who are sure to ‘raze’ the energy and excitement to a whole new level. Additionally, we want customers to continue to #SharediMoment, so they can look out for exclusive sale on smartphones in Mas Camp of up to 22 per cent discount. Plus, with each purchase, customers get a selfie stick. So we’re encouraging everyone to come out and have a great time and help us close Mas Camp Fridays in true bacchanal fashion.”

Bacchanal Director Charmaine Franklin reminds that “This Friday is flag night so revellers should wear their colours and bring their flags. We will be offering prizes for the crew with the most hype crews. We pull out all the stops for the final Bacchanal Friday so patrons can expect the excitement to be high.”
