“A fete isn’t a fete… a carnival fete, if Destra ain’t there,” these were the sentiments of the organizers of carnival Saturday’s premium all- inclusive event that’s already the talk among the exclusively elite party lovers, this season.

“The Ultimate One,” the final all- inclusive event to close off the season before the street parades on Carnival Monday and Tuesday has been planned, according to the event’s organizing committee, with elements of distinguishable flavor in mind. “Nothing’s gonna top this one,” says committee member, Keith Johnson.

According to Johnson, the event which is now in its seventh year, will ultimately be the harvest of the season, as not only will there be entertainment, the likes of which no other promoter has offered to the masses this carnival, but there’ll also be an unmatchable dining experience, ambience that’ll take all in attendance, away from the regular, and of course, every patron will be treated like royalty… if only for six hours.

UWI’s staff social club will be transformed into the Plantation Grounds on Saturday, February 21st. From 6pm, the bands that have led the race for 2k9, Destra Garcia and her band, Kes and his, along with other undeniably entertaining artistes, will entice and invigorate, and straight through till midnight, the promoters have guaranteed that food, hors d’oeuvres, drinks and even gifts will be in abundance.

Tickets are reasonably priced at $400, the same cost as years gone by, and are available through the home box office- 868-645-4525…
