Veteran dancehall kingpin Shabba Ranks is all set to deliver what is expected to be a high energy performance on February 15. The event is dubbed Flashback night and it will be held at Café Iguana Pines which is located in Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, Florida.

Shabba who shot onto the musical radar in the late 1980’s has to date won two Grammy Awards. His arsenal of hits include Billboard chart topping singles and reggae and dancehall favorites.

Shabba rose to the top of the charts with songs including Twice My Age (with Krystal), House Call (with Maxi Priest), Mr. Lover Man (with Chevelle Franklin), Love P Bad, Original Woman, Trailer Load a Girls, Ting a Ling, Family Affair, Slow and Sexy and The Jam.  Shabba’s most recent hit was More Pon More which was produced by Free Willy.

Originally from Seaview Gardens in Kingston, Shabba rose to become one of the hottest and in demand dancehall stars of the day.  He collaborated with the likes of KRS-ONE, Patra, Mykal Rose, Maxi Priest, Queen Latifah, Johnny Gill, Eddie Murphy and others, to cement his place among hip hop and R&B fanatics.

According to the promoters, Flashback Night will be memorable in many ways.  Apart from Shabba’s performance, patrons will be taken on a walk down memory lane to unearth the hits that they danced to in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

Music will be provided by King Waggy T, Tony Matterhorn, Sky Juice from Metro Media, and Mix Master Steve.

Miami’s very own Papa Keith will host the event, which patrons will fork out $30 to attend. VIP admission is $50.
