Castries, Saint Lucia. October 1, 2015: Miami Carnival is a staple celebration for many West Indians and carnival aficionados across the globe. The annual festival draws in hundreds of thousands of visitors which provides a great opportunity for soca artistes around the world to gain more recognition.

In 2014, Deeper Than Soca's (DTS) artiste, Sedale, made waves by performing at several of the stellar events during Miami Carnival and he intends to continue that momentum to show the world what St. Lucia has to offer. Sedale will maintain the pace of the quality of music performed for carnivals in St. Lucia, New York, and Dallas. Prompted by the response to last year's hit "Pandemonium," Sedale and Wildfire have collaborated again with the well-received song "Lawless." Sedale will also perform hits like Neighbour, D'Junction, and Feeling It which continues to receive rave reviews and airplay amongst well-known international DJs. In addition to the multitude of performances, the Deeper Than Soca brand is collaborating with Giselle D Wassi One and DJ Stephen to present their very own section in Something J'ouvert Band called Ridiculous Red.

Please join Sedale as he embarks on bringing St. Lucian talent to the forefront of the international soca scene at the following events for Miami Carnival (more events to follow):
  • Thursday – Soca Haus and Vivacious Soca Thursdays
  • Friday – Rise Miami Meets Shine NYC, Flags & Free Drinks, and One Island's Day Break Breakfast Fete
  • Saturday – Something J'ouvert Band
  • Sunday – One Island Carnival Band and Jamboree Carnival Band
  • Monday – DJ Stephen presents Bright Colors Boatride
What is most compelling about Deeper Than Soca is that it goes even further beyond what we have come to know and love. At the forefront it encompasses music, clothing, and promotion, but the overall vision has not yet unfolded. DTS intends to use music and entertainment to positively impact and influence our St. Lucians, West Indians, and people across the globe. DTS has major projects set for completion in the near future. One of these is a record label – the aim is to focus on developing musical talents in an environment that allows for better management and promotion of local and regional artistes. DTS wants to break the mold!

DTS will also venture into philanthropic work and is in the process of launching a foundation focused on youth development. Not only is giving back near and dear to DTS, but the intention is to be the Soul Of Community Advancement (SOCA). Deeper Than Soca will be synonymous with Entertainment and Lifestyle in St. Lucia – and is indeed DEEPER – Deeper than Soca!
