Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. February 1, 2015 - Exciting things are happening in Trinidad and Tobago. Yes, Carnival 2016 is in full swing but there’s also news today that leading Caribbean entertainment website, etceterabuzz.com has rebranded a bit, giving loyal fans of the site and those seeking that place to relax and enjoy the Caribbean from far, far away, an even better opportunity to find all that they’re looking for.

After months of planning, etceterabuzz.com is now EBUZZTT.COM. Founders of the website, Aba Luke and Trevyn Roberts saw the need to make life easier for those who’ve had a tough time spelling the domain title, breaking it down somewhat and adding TT toward the end to let the world know that this amazing Caribbean entertainment news portal hails from the land of Carnival, Callaloo and the La Brea Pitch Lake.

Together with a shortened and certainly more punchy domain name, the website’s overall layout has been upgraded. “We just wanted people to come to EBUZZTT and scroll endlessly, never feel compelled to leave- just stay and read about the great things that take place in the Caribbean,” said Roberts, the owner of Tippatone- a website and graphic support company that operates out of Trinidad as well. For the past four years, the pair has worked tirelessly to keep the site’s rhythm pumping. “Our vision for EBUZZTT remains the same. We want the world to know what happens here throughout the year so from every corner of the globe, fun seekers will want to visit- see for themselves and possibly take word back that the Caribbean is an amazing place to visit,” said Luke, a media practitioner who has worked with Cornerstone Promotions and the Fader Magazine in New York, The Trinidad Guardian in T&T and presently the social media go to gal at urban radio frequency, Boomchampions 94.1FM.

The website’s new look offers a larger, brighter and more picturesque scroll for those who rely on the web for all their news updates. “We wanted to keep it fresh, in line with international online entertainment news standards so in the not too distant future, we’ll be including a number of categories that will cover almost everything the online surfer would want to see,” said Luke. She feels there’s a need to have the Caribbean, and even more specifically, her birthplace, Trinidad and Tobago, showcased online in as positive a manner as possible. “As Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean as a whole develops, we need to establish positive online fingerprints. The world is online and looking in at us, every second of every day. I think there’s enough negative news being delivered by a smorgasbord of Caribbean news media outlets to satisfy that requirement, so why don’t we all work at establishing positive online indicators of what we are about? I think it’s time. There’s certainly much to show the world to make everyone on the outside want to be among us,” said a passionate Luke.

EBUZZTT.COM will be spewing Carnival related content over the next few days as Trinidad and Tobago’s Carnival gets underway. The team will however shift focus to other T&T and Caribbean festivals and cultural events as the year rolls on. With strong social media presence already established, Roberts and Luke plan on capitalizing on the site’s social media tools to encourage stronger connections with their global audience. “This is a tool for T&T and the Caribbean- for the people of the Caribbean to start embracing their heritage and culture and for the people of the world to absorb it all, some in its authentic form, others, fused with foreign influences,” said Luke.

The world is now invited to log on to www.ebuzztt.com for a true taste of Trinidad and Tobago’s dynamic lifestyle and more and more, the essence of Caribbean culture.
