Dancehall star Spice recently won the Favorite Local Female Artiste of the Year award at Youth View Awards (YVAs) that were held on Saturday night at the National Indoor Sports Centre in St. Andrew.

This is the third time she has won the award, the first time she won it was in 2009, and the second time was in 2015.

"It's always a pleasure to know that your hard work is being recognized. I have to thank all my fans and supporters for voting for me. There are a lot of other talented female artistes in the business so to be voted the Favorite Local Female Artiste of the Year two years in a row is truly an honor. I also want to thank the entire YVAs family, sorry I missed the awards ceremony this year, it was unavoidable because I had to perform in France on the night of the event," said Spice.

Spice is currently headlining a one-month tour of Europe, which is dubbed the 'Needle Eye' tour. The tour began on the 17th of February and will end on the 19th of March.

"This is my fourth tour of Europe, and I am having a wonderful time. So far I have done three shows, the first one was in Berlin, Germany, the other two were in Rennes and Toulon in France. The show in Rennes was one of my most memorable experiences. I saw fans crying during my performance, some of them trembled and screamed when I hugged them. A couple of people also fainted because the venue was jam packed," she said.

Spice is also scheduled to perform at the More Life concert that will be held at O2 Academy in Brixton in England, on the 30th of April.
