US based recording artiste Ameera is ready to make her mark on the Reggae music world.

The powerhouse vocals and her island flair displayed on her debut Reggae recording, a cover of Adele's mega-hit Hello ft Mr Vegas released last November has put her on the radar.

"I am very comfortable singing Reggae and Dancehall songs; these are two of my favorite genres of music. My dad is Jamaican, so I grew up listening to artistes like Beres Hammond, Shabba Ranks, Buju Banton, Cobra, Shaggy and Dennis Brown."

The talented singer who was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, is currently promoting a new single titled "Wine It Up" ft Mr Vegas on the popular Banga riddim. Win It Up was produced by Vegas and released on his MV Music label in January.

Ameera began her singing career at the age of eight as a member of a gospel group called Vessels of Praise which was led by Grammy-nominated recording artiste Ricky Dillard.

In 2009, she was thrust into the musical spotlight when she appeared on Puff Daddy's reality show 'Making his Band.'

"Participating in a talent competition reality show like 'Making his Band' made me step up my game. We all knew when Diddy walked in the room, which was always unannounced it was game time, we had to be prepared all the time," said Ameera.

The following year Ameera received, even more, exposure when toured as a background vocalist for pop superstar Lady Gaga during her Monster Ball tour.

"Lady Gaga is a true professional; she is very dedicated to her craft. She puts a lot of work into her shows because she always gives her fans the best. Watching her give her all each night on tour in sold out arenas inspired me and made me realize that if I work hard enough one day I could do the same thing as a solo act."
