: Local entertainment company JCS Entertainment Ltd., the team that brought local audiences the most talked about and critically acclaimed T&T musical of 2015, ‘Mahalia: A Gospel Musical’, welcomes three significant patrons who have extended their support and endorsement of its first 2016 musical production - The ALTAR BOYZ!

JCS Entertainment welcomes the Maritime Financial Group as its first ever Royal Circle Sponsor for the Altar Boyz production.

The three patrons are, the Archbishop of Port of Spain, The Most Reverend Joseph Everard Harris, the Bishop of Trinidad and Tobago, The Right Reverend Claude Berkley and former First Lady of Trinidad and Tobago, Zalayhar Hassanali.

“JCS entertainment thought it appropriate to invite the patronage of three fine upstanding citizens for its upcoming production of the Altar Boyz musical,” explained JCS Entertainment Chairman and Creative Producer, John Henry Smith.

Social activist and former First Lady of Trinidad and Tobago, Zalayhar Hassanali, has been a supporter of JCS Entertainment since the company’s inception in 2012 and its first production of ‘The Sound of Music’ at Queen’s Hall Auditorium.

Since then, the former First Lady has attended most of the company’s productions and this year has graciously agreed to the Patron of the company’s 2016 musical production of 'The Altar Boyz'.

"In fact she said she was honoured to join with the Archbishop and Bishop in this venture," said Smith.

“Our patrons were extremely pleased to be associated with the production because of the fine family entertainment value and the moral rectitude of the material.”

Mrs. Hassanali has been called a role model for women with a strong personality, yet humble and graceful. She is also the recipient of the nation's highest award, the Order of Trinidad and Tobago for distinguished and outstanding service to T&T in the sphere of community service.

In a 2011 online profile for distinguished Caribbean Muslims, Mrs. Hassanali is listed as being known for her contributions to culture, child welfare, the environment and education. During her position as first lady, Hassanali was involved with 44 Non-Governmental Organisations, charity groups and social foundations.

ALTAR BOYZ is a satirical comedy about a heavenly band performing the final show on its world tour. The musical is full of light-hearted fun and tongue-in-cheek humour, with an unexpected mix of comical songs convincing enough to be played on MTV, BET or VH1, full of irrepressible laughs.

While the Altar Boyz perform their songs, with synchronized dancing and high energy routines, the plot of the musical will unfold on stage presenting several scenes relating to the group, its origins and the challenges they face with each other. The musical will feature songs across multiple genres including Hip Hop, Rock, Pop Ballads, Broadway and Latin Music.

As they perform their signature hits such as "Rhythm In Me," "The Calling," and "I Believe," the Boyz question their loyalty to each other and ask whether or not faith is really holding them together.  They finally deliver a message of unity, that "there is no star as bright as its constellation, no harmony in a single voice."
