If Opening night on Friday in Bermuda on the 17th of June is anything like opening night was in 2015, then ONCE AGAIN I am going to have the time of my life!!

The artist line up is potent and one of my favorite artists is performing -- KES -- so I cannot wait.

And along with Kes are the following:

Lyrikal
Voice
Teddyson John
Ricardo Drue
King Bubba

and a host of other DJs and guests.

Of course you know that the TriniJungleJuice Team will be present and we will be headed by The Carnival Ref himself, Dre.

So, I will tell you what I promised to tell you.

I told you that I will tell you why I love Bermuda Carnival so much.  Here it is.....

There are few places that I have been to where I can say that I just fell in love with the country and the people.  From my initial cab ride from the airport to the people that I met in the gas station to the folks that I met in the Jerk chicken spot a few miles of the Fairmont Hotel, I met nothing but outstanding people.

I had already been introduced to several people from Bermuda as an alumnus of Howard University and was overjoyed at J'Ouvert when I ran into so many Howard University Alumni. We are like family and it's always good to see the Howard family in the fete.

The who atmosphere of Bermuda is just classy and clean.  There is no trash on the street or on the roads and the landscape is just pristine. All I could think about when I was there in 2015 is that I have to bring my wife here next year.  And that is exactly what I'm doing this year so that she can experience Bermuda AND Bermuda Carnival.

If you don't have Bermuda Heroes Weekend on your carnival "things to do list" then you should put it on there immediately.  If for no other reason than the J'Ouvert.

THE J'OUVERT IN BERMUDA IS RAMPAGE!!!!!!!  I honestly look forward to it more than I do the road. :-)

Take care and I hope to see you in Bermuda.

Blessings From Here To There,
