If you have ever heard the word "Soca", than the name Destra isn't far behind.  Artists such as Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Meghan Trainor, Sean Paul and Heather Headley to name a few sing the praises of the Trinidadian/Latina award winning songstress also known as "The Queen of Bacchanal".

Now with her new Tropical Pop single, "Luv With The Riddim", produced and co-written by 2x Grammy Nominated producer/songwriter Druski (Zendaya, Teyana Taylor, Fantasia, Luke James), Destra is ready to make her international debut.

Pop music has been recently riding the waves of the Caribbean... no pun intended.  Songs like Drake's "One Dance", Justin Bieber's "Sorry", Nick Jonas' "Close" ft. Tove Lo, Ariana Grande's "Side to Side" ft. Nicki Minaj or Beyonce's smash single "Hold Up" have dominated the charts with tinged steel drums, kalimbas and dancehall/soca rhythms.  According to Spotify, the most streamed song of 2015 was Major Lazer and DJ White Snake's hit "Lean On" which is why Destra believed the timing couldn't be more right to introduce her Tropical Pop "chune".

"I think my current fans and new fans will appreciate what we are doing with this sound," exclaims Destra.  "It's me, just a new and improved me that's ready to mash up the world one stage at a time."

"Luv With The Riddim" will be available on iTunes (http://itunes.apple.com/album/id1120796251?ls=1&app=itunes) and all digital media platforms on June 8th.
