Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. November 16th, 2016 - A new soundhas infiltrated the Soca scene. With unswaying ambition to make 2017 the best year yet, one of Trinidad and Tobago’s young Soca artistes has been hitting the soca circuit hard, preparing for the Carnival 2017 ride of his life, and so far, he’s left a pretty strong impression.

One week after his single Calling was posted to YouTube by JuliansPromos TV, soca artiste, Tele Cruz watched as the video amassed over 37,000 views. Excitedly, he took the bait and made the decision to do whatever it takes to ensure that Soca-loving audiences around the world get the opportunity to know that his single, ‘Calling’ exists. The track, which was produced collaboratively by Zig-Boi Music, Madmen Productions and Chin Chilla, was released in early October and Tele Cruz says the song is a testament to his personal relationship with Soca music and the Soca music industry.“The music has been calling out to me and I feel the time is now.”

This is by no means Tele Cruz’s debut on the Caribbean entertainment scene. He’s been a part of the entertainment landscape in Trinidad and Tobago for several years as a J’ouvert band-leader of what is the biggest J’ouvert band in Tobago, and even a television personality. He believes in finishing, and so, there’s absolutely no way he could allow himself to leave Soca behind, having started with fearless thirst, a few years ago.

Tele Cruz has performed in Europe and across the islands of the Caribbean, something he’s quite proud of. “Soca lives in me. It’s innate to my existence. How can I stop?” he said recently. He says the new track is a fusion of island sounds and the song in itself was inspired by his life’s journey.

His social media platforms will likely prove his hard work and ambition in the days and weeks to come, so with that, he’s calling on music lovers around the world to follow him onInstagram and Facebook @Tele Cruz and @Tele Cruz Music respectively.
