Dancehall star Mr Vegas is in a jubilant mood as his albums Lovers Rock & Soul, and This Is Dancehall are both listed among the albums being considered for nomination in the Best Reggae Album category of the 2017 Grammy Awards.“I feel humbled to know that two of my albums are on the provisional list. This is a testament that my hard work and dedication to making quality music has not gone unrecognised,” said Vegas.

Released through Zojack Worldwide in September 2015 Lovers Rock & Soul was co-produced by Mr. Vegas and veteran producer/musician Cleveland ‘Clevie’ Brownie of Steely & Clevie fame.The eleven track album features an eclectic mix of R&B, Pop & Reggae covers which includes songs such as Time After Time, Girl I’ve Got A Date and Thinking Out Loud. 

This Is Dancehall was released through VPal in August 2016. The album which is Vegas’ 9th full-length project and his last dancehall album features songs such as Identify My Love (Remix) and Dancehall Dab (Remix) featuring Naudia Rose.“These are two of my best projects, and I would be very pleased if one of them is nominated for the reggae Grammy,” said the artiste who won the MOBO Award for the Best Reggae Act in 1999.
 
Vegas is currently making preparations for the release of his next album, Soul Therapy.“My next album is coming out in January, it’s my first Gospel project, and I can’t wait for my fans to hear it,” he said.The nominations for the 59th annual Grammy Awards will be announced on the 6th of December in Los Angeles. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 12th, 2017 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
