After their dominating play throughout the 2018 NBA Playoffs, the Warriors will meet the Cavaliers for the fourth consecutive year, the first time ever in American professional sports that the same two teams will meet in the Finals.  LeBron James also leads the Cavs to their fourth straight NBA Finals appearance as well as his eighth consecutive NBA Finals. Their first meeting in 2015 saw Golden State win their first NBA Championship after 40 years and in 2016, the Cavaliers won the franchise’s first NBA Championship. The 2017 NBA Finals saw Golden State reclaim the title as Kevin Durant won the first championship of his career.

NBA Countdown and SportsCenter
ESPN will take NBA Countdown – one of its signature NBA shows – on the road for on-site programming throughout the series and will be the lead-in to every game of the Finals. NBA Countdown host Michelle Beadle will be joined by veteran analyst Jalen Rose and two former NBA Finals MVPs – Chauncey Billups and guest analyst Paul Pierce – for pregame and halftime shows.  Five-time NBA Champion Kobe Bryant will also unveil his latest short video presentation in his Canvas series during the pregame show.
