For the second year in a row I was blown away, amazed and more than pleased with this fete. As I do all fetes that I review, I walked around and viewed the signage, the food stations, the bar serving process and the bathrooms.  And just like last year the ILan fete met my expectations and surpassed them.

For the second year in a row I was blown away, amazed and more than pleased with this fete. As I do all fetes that I review, I walked around and viewed the signage, the food stations, the bar serving process and the bathrooms. And just like last year the ILan fete met my expectations and surpassed them.

The location of the fete is on the campus of Rollins College, a small liberal arts school with a nice and quaint campus with beautiful foliage and landscaping.  Upon entry on the campus you are directed to the location of the fete via signs.  And although it looks like parking will be problematic, it is not.  The ILan fete committee and staff (also known as "The ILan Crew") make sure to sell the appropriate amount of tickets so that things such as parking, food, drinks, etc., are not a hassle and that the population in the venue is "snug" but not "stuffed."

The wait for the bar is almost nil and the only bar that had a little bit of a wait was in the high traffic area by one of the two designated dance floor areas. The bar by where the food was being issued had almost no wait all night. The most impressive part of the fete for me is the food. The food is always amazing but this year they had..... CEVICHE.  If you don't know what that is, its a dish consisting of seafood and citrus that is absolutely amazing. The ceviche that I had was chunk full of shrimp. And I stayed by the bar for a good 15 minutes just eating steak and shrimp.

The fete is not an teen or tweener crowd. It's a fete full of grown folks who know how to "fete."  I absolutely love the vibe, the ambience and the "slackness" but "classiness" of the fete.  It's not a stush environment but it nah trashy either.   It's like a very well aged cognac...... smooth.  For those who have seen me inna fete, you know that I like to have a good time and I had an awesome time.  I stayed until the end and really enjoyed the surprise performance toward the end of the evening by Soca artiste Ricard Drue.

I've been to the ILan All-Inclusive two years in a row and "si Dios quiere" I will be there next year too.

If you are considering attending please note the following 3 things:

1. The tickets do sell out so "doh stick".
2. The fete runs from 5pm to 11pm and the food doh done!
3. The address is 1000 Holt Ave. Winter Park, FL 32789, USA
