Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. May 31s, 2019 - There’s no stopping the sound of Soca. With an unrestricted, organic pull of the genre presently taking place across the Caribbean, it’s no surprise that one of the latest music projects features that of an Anguillan DJ and a Trinidad and Tobago vocalist. San Fernando, Trinidad native, Lucrativ is ready to push, and he’s certain that his latest move will bear rewards for the promotion of both himself, and the Soca music genre.

The young artist who’s been heavily influenced by Soca acts like Bunji Garlin, 3 Suns and KMC, made a worthwhile connection in an unexpected relationship formed with Anguilla’s DJ Legend264. Together, they’ve delivered something called, “Frenzy”- an intense, power Soca track that promises to breathe life into the Anguillan festival circuit. The Anguilla Summer Festival takes place from August 1st to August 11th and promises a unique blend of Caribbean events, including the Heineken Boat Race and the J’ouvert and Caribbean Beach Party. Lucrativ and DJ Legend264 are certainly on top of things.

In 2018, Lucrativ delivered a pretty amazing track called, “Fever”. The single was produced by Millbeatz Entertainment and heard the artiste execute seamlessly with riveting vocals. A video for the single subsequently followed, but he wouldn’t stop there. Lucrativ subsequently made a unique connection with Anguilla’s DJ Legend who presented a Soca sound that was undeniably Anguillan. “The style was a little different to me, but I welcomed the challenge. It’s something I don’t regret,” said the South born entertainer. He explained that the connection has since brought with it, an opportunity to further their vibrant blend, while gaining new ground as an artiste himself. Again leaning on Millbeatz Entertainment, Lucrativ recorded his vocals in Trinidad before DJ Legend264 added his style to ‘Frenzy’, delivering the final product. A spanking new video for the track was completed last weekend, bringing fans of Soca the right visuals to match this fiery, new single.

Promising that this new single is just the first of many projects in the pipeline from both he and DJ Legend, Lucrativ says his overall goal is to maintain strong musical presence across the airwaves in the Caribbean. “We’ll be bringing trendy music to the airwaves and everything will come with eye-catching, jaw-dropping visuals,” promised the artiste. He’s been working closely with LV Entertainment – a Trinidad and Tobago based video production company. His video for ‘Fever’ was directed and produced by the LV Entertainment and according to the artiste himself, the quality, concept and overall production, was second to none.

Lucrativ’s on a journey to the top of Caribbean entertainment and he’s enjoying every second of the ride. His social media presence has undeniably been integral to his growth and with that in mind, he continues to encourage music lovers to check out his Instagram profile @lucrativ_tt and of course, Facebook, at Facebook.com/lucrativlucrativ.
