Hailed as the grandest showcase of East Indian culture In the Caribbean Chutneyland, now in its second year, is also considered to be one of the biggest event of Carnival. The event produced by Randy Glasgow Productions (RGP) features over 50 chutney artistes and bands, Soca stars along with dozens of peripheral acts to enhance the overall production.

Chutneyland 2020 takes place on Saturday February 15 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Tarouba.


Coming off on Valentines weekend, RGP has themed the event as one celebrating love among family, friends and of course, couples. The event is designed to enjoyed by entire families, from the youth to the elders.

The first band is scheduled to take the stage at 9:30 p.m. with nonstop entertainment throughout the night into pre-dawn.

RGP is setting things in place to create an experience for the patrons in which they are taken on a virtual journey through Mumbai, where they will be treated to Bollywood, Indian pop and of course chutney and soca chutney music.


There will also be an Indian and Indo-Trinidadian food festival set up at the venue where one will be able to enjoy from street food to fine cuisine from a large collective of vendors. Including popular food trucks from across the island. There will also be bars where one can get from fresh juices, healthy punches and premium alcohol.

There is a special offer in celebration of Valentines Day in which one ticket allows two persons entry, both in the General and VIP areas. This special offer is however, for a limited time only.


Chutneyland 2020 line-up includes Dil-E-Nadan with Raymond Ramnarine,  Derek Seales  and Renuka Mahabir, Ravi B and Nisha B  & Karma, KI And The Band featuring Neval Chatelal, Rick Ramoutar,  Sexy Venessa & the Fusion band, G I, Nishard M. Kavita Ramkissoon, Veekash Sahadeo, Drupatee, Rakesh Yankaran. Anil Bheem, Omardath Maraj, Neval B, Sally Sagram, Kenneth Supersad, Dubraj Persad, DJ Ana and Ultra Simmo, DJ Big Rich, NGC Sweet Tassa Group, Master Saleem, and more.

There will also performances by several top soca stars among them Alison Hinds, SuperBlue, Mr Killa, Skinny Banton and Nessa Preppy.

Special tribute will be paid to top local dancer/choreographer and founder of the Zee TV Shiv Shakti Dancers, Michael Salckram who will be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
