New York, NY (Sonique Solutions) –The vibrant, new Caribbean music riddim has been unleashed to music fans globally, displaying the talents of dynamic artistes representing different islands in the region.

The producer of the riddim is Tony "The Mad Architect" Brown of Mad Architect Music who although currently based in New York, has strong Caribbean roots due to his upbringing in Trinidad. He states that the genesis of the riddim’s name was his casually playing keyboard notes in the Key of C Major, hence the name Major Riddim. This created the basis for this groundbreaking instrumental which uniquely combines elements of Soca and Dancehall music.

The award winning DJ, producer, engineer and radio personality also notes that upon completion, early listeners, artistes and critics alike were drawn to the Major Riddim but due to its fusion sound they could not decipher whether it was Reggae or Soca. This ambiguity motivated several artistes of both genres to lyrically jump onboard the riddim in a virtual music battle, thereby inspiring a Soca vs. Reggae theme.
Although being touted under the Soca vs. Reggae moniker, the Major Riddim instead exhibits true Caribbean unity bringing together the unique styles of Jamaica, St. Vincent, Trinidad, Antigua and even Puerto Rico under one musical roof, making these bona fide crowd pleasers appealing to a wide Caribbean audience.

Tracks on the Major Riddim include lead hit single, "Gotta Be Mine" (performed by Catalyst Records artiste, Trinity) which has already infiltrated nightclubs within the Caribbean and Caribbean Diaspora; “Ms. Independent” by Jamaican born BMWA; “Golden Touch” by Trinidad’s own Bumper Soprano known by fans for his hit track “Ella” as well as “Don’t be Afraid” by Blackroots from St. Vincent, a man known for being a songwriter and manager for numerous artistes, including Jamsey P and Harella.
