Toronto, ON, Canada – Monday July 13th, 2009 – Reigning Canadian Calypso Monarch “Macomere Fifi” will attempt to defend her crown this coming Saturday at Kaiso 365 (2009 Calypso Monarch Finals), appearing in the lucky number 7 spot.

The results were announced at the end of the semi-final competition held last Saturday, with eight competitors and one reserve going forward to challenge last year's winner for the title of the 2009 Calypso Monarch. The performing order was determined by random number selection pulled by the contestants in front of the audience in attendance. The order will be as follows:
