LONDON, 15th July 2009 – Leading events management company neXt Level PoisonUK, are set to continue their dominance as leaders of the yet ‘undiscovered’ Soca music scene and Caribbean music industry here in London across Europe with the staging of their biggest concert to date- ENERGY: The Carnival Concert. The event will feature an impressive line up of top class Caribbean acts including Lil Rick (Barbados), Peter Ram (Barbados), Bunji Garlin, Fayann and Benjai (Trinidad), Berbice (Grenada) and Ricky T (St. Lucia) and Scrappy (Montserrat) and much more.

Scheduled for Friday 28th August at the TROXY, ENERGY, the biggest of its kind in Europe, is in its sixth year of production and has now become an international staple on the Notting hill Carnival weekend calendar. Gracing world class venues such as the HMV Apollo, HMV Forum and the Ministry of Sound, Next Level is now poised with bringing the show to the historic London City venue, the TROXY.

“We are excited that we have the opportunity to host such a unique and explosive live event right here at the Troxy,” says Dante Williams Troxy Events Coordinator.

No other concert has ever featured such an original and diverse cast, which, in the past, has seen the likes of Machel Montano (One More Time), Soca Queen Alison Hinds, international recording artiste Mr Vegas (Hot Wuk) and Jamsey P (Nookie) and Hip Hop legend Doug E Fresh”, says Next Level Event Manager Konata Alleyne. “We have discovered a niche market for the concert goer in the international music scene”

With the current recording industry being affected by illegal downloads, Next Level realises the importance of the live music scene in creating a sustainable industry. Next Levels’ Manager Wendel Clement highlights the fact that for the last 20 years soca artistes and bands “have been operating in the model that the global music industry is only recently beginning to take hold of”, i.e. artiste using live events as their major source of revenue.

This is why Next level heavily promotes their artistes and can be seen this year flying the flag in concerts and festivals across Europe including Amsterdam showcases, the Stockholm Festival and Antillean Festival. “Our events give people the opportunity to explore an alternative event concept, with a fresh style music goers could sink their teeth into” with adds Alleyne.
