Trinidad and Tobago’s Stephan “Kuttit” Abraham has something to prove. A gifted songwriter and artist, Kuttit, whose name implies the ability to make things happen, has branded himself remarkably well in his short tenure as an artist to look out for. Influenced by a variety of musical genres, including his native soca and calypso music, Kuttit’s new aged sound is a healthy blend of pop, soca, reggae and r&b.  Simply put, it’s urban music, with an eccentric vibe that is inherently Caribbean.

In 2007 Kuttit entered the industry with “Tell Me,” a pop-infused soca song, with a sultry sound.  He followed shortly after with “Hush,” for which the video has gotten the attention of a growing fan base. However, it is his work as a songwriter that has cemented his name in the soca industry.  In 2008, Kuttit caught the attention of soca superstar Machel Montano with the song, “Mesmerize.” The two eventually collaborated on the piece, with Kuttit co-writing and lending his vocals to the song. Kuttit’s most recent release, “Noizez,” is indicative of his versatility as a singer/songwriter and his potential for long-term international success.

It’s only been 6 years since Kuttit began his journey in the industry, still it hasn’t prevented him from being respected by fellow artists in the industry as one to look out for, as well as securing a loyal fan base in his native Trinidad, in the Caribbean and throughout the U.S. With the release of his debut album, “Soca, Sex and Alcohol”,  Kuttit’s unconventional, eccentric approach to music is sure to make traction in this still burgeoning genre of soca. Kuttit’s smooth pop sound, blended in soca and dancehall roots, is the sound of a new era in soca music. “Soca, Sex and Alcohol” is now released on iTunes.com, Amazon.com, Trinidadtunes.com and more... As the name suggests, Kuttit will make it happen, and he is both creative and driven enough to take his music to the world.
