This year with Live performances by an All-Star line up of artists and bands KES The Band; Nadia Batson; Skinny Fabulous; Problem Child; Iwer George and many many more accompanied by music from North America's Top DJs such as Dr. Jay; Playhouse; DJ Spice and much more this party was definately one of the hottest parties for Caribana 2009.

CROWD:
This fete was nice!!!!

.. roll it bwoy .. ah rollin' .. RAJ

VENUE/ACCESSIBILITY:
The Mirage is the ideal location for a fete of this calibre!!
With respect to accessibility... Easy As Pie!!

VIBES:
There are several key triggers and guides that one would use to ascertain whether the vibe in a fete is awesome. Some people look at the way the women in the crowd are dancing, whether it's a "social wine" or  a "Me An Mih Man Jus Break Up" type of wine. Others look at the overall response to the music, crowd participation and obedience to the instructions given by the artiste on stage. We must confess that we too subscribed to this format until we entered the Mirage at 11:00pm. Keep in mind that the fete, was scheduled to commence at 10pm WST, (West Indian Standard Time=45min later) As we entered the dance floor we saw a man, whom we shall call "RAJ" had turned himself into a human bowling ball and was rolling through the crowd who seemed oblivious to his presence. This is indeed testament to the power of Soca music....and/or strong rum!!!

FOOD & DRINKS:
Name your poison ... and it was made!!

COST/VALUE:
If yuh ah foreigner then you would have purchased your tickets weeeeeeeks in advance and paid only CDN$30 dollars. If you are a true true West Indian however you would have decided to buy your ticket at the gate and then have the audacity to act surprised when de man at the gate say CDN$40.00. Once you begrudgingly hand over the money and made your way inside you would realize that it was all worth it.

Did we forget anything? Add your 2 cents below...
