Leading Soca artist, Benjai and friends, will perform live at Borokeete’s carnival band first-place celebration & thank you party on Saturday September 26th, 2009 at SOBs starting at 11:30pm. The event, part of the vibrant monthly Dirty, Sexy, Soca party, will feature a special VIP reception, awards, performances and music by Dr Wax, Pantrine Vibes and more.

Benjai is one of the most in-demand soca artists for 2009 with his hit “drunk Again” which secured him the 3rd place position at Trinidad’s Groovy Soca Monarch this year. On Saturday September 26th he’ll join other guests for what is promising to be a stellar performance at Sobs, located 74 Varick St., Manhattan, New York.

Since 1982, Borokeete International has been involved in the Caribbean’s cultural development in North-America. This year the Carnival band won first place Queen of the parade, first place in junior kiddies’ medium band and first place best costume medium band of the year.
