Special shout out to the beautiful ladies of Shades of Ebony for showing TJJ love and inviting us to their event, and DJ Anonymous... love all the time!

CROWD:
The second chapter of Genesis drew out a large crowd of people, who were looking good and destined to commit a little bit of sin before the night was over (just blame it on the alcohol). By 2:30 a.m, the place was ram!

VIBES:
This crowd was a bit laid back for the first couple of hours, standing around and socializing. By 3:30 a.m the party was really getting started. A nice blend and variety of music all night. Tunes by Jay-Z got the crowd a bit hype and began to change the mood. People were no longer standing around when classics by Baron, Byron Lee and Becket started to play. The crowd has been going MAD when "Party Hard" by Doneao came on. Memories of Miami 2k9 maybe? The musical mayhem for Genesis II was courtesy of DJ Anonymous, Dr. Wax and Back2Basics.

VENUE/ACCESSIBILITY:
It was easy finding the location of the event but finding a park on Flatbush Avenue is always a hassle. After circling the blocks a bit, we found a park a few blocks from the venue. We nearly ended up at the wrong event, also being held at the same venue but we were quickly guided by partygoers who had the same mix up. Bellville Manor was decorated in green draping and leafy plans giving an aura resembling the Garden of Eden. The bathrooms were also labeled "Adams" and "Eves", taking the Genesis theme to another level. The space was large enough to accommodate the large crowd but there was very little air circulating. It got really hot within minutes of arriving.

FOOD/DRINK:
Complementary shots were handed out to attendees, vials filled with Bacardi Lime circulated around the room. A Chit system was used to purchase food and drinks. Real money was traded in for monopoly money, or "chit" depending on what attendees wanted to purchase. The bar was rammed and well supported. The cold Heinekens, Coronas, Nuvo, Johnny, Grey Goose and Baileys made its round all night.

COST/VALUE:
Tickets were $20 in advance and $25 at the door, in addition to 2 bucks for each coat you check in, and handsome amount you might spend at the bar by the end of the night. By 4 a.m, you were most likely hungry and willing to raided food table.

SERVICE
It took us a while to get inside because of slow communication between staff and security. The entrance became quiet congested due to the small space designated to security check, and ticket collection.  Once we got inside, there was a designated area for coat check, which moved smoothly both during arrival and departure. The ladies of Shades of Ebony kept their guest entertained through out the entire night ... mingling and keeping everyone engaged with the party, whether they were familiar faces, or not!
