Special shout out to Ms. Danielle Jones who certainly made sure we were well taken care of on the night and all her staff for making the event a true success.

CROWD:
The UTC was able to coax a number of the heavy hitters out of their offices for a shindig that was just what the doctor ordered. Corporate execs intermingled with the press and a few socialites to all hear the UTC sing their praises about the past six months of performance. just the right sized crowd and it felt as if they were all carefully handpicked to ensure the all attendees were comfortable and fit the profile of success.

VENUE/ACCESSIBILITY:
Centrally located Zen always is a favorite among partygoes but the UTC definitely showed that the Buddha could be easily transformed into the perfect venue to host this event. Clean as a whistle and well laid out as we have come to expect from Mr. Soong and his staff it did not even feel like we were in the same club that could host an indoor concert or a total breakaway night of flexing and bubbling. It seems like Zen really is a one size fits all venue.

Unfortunately parking was a little tight as there was some concert being held at the newly opened Performing Arts Centre which could seriously complicate things for further events. Have to keep our eyes on that one for sure.

VIBES:
Entertainment got started with the winning group in the B Mobile Dance off contest and I was none too impressed but lo and behold Imij and Company came on after and definitely rocked the crown. An amazing blend of oldies and current songs kept the heads nodding but as it was a corporate event we all were forced to be a lil conservative but trust me I wanted to wine....

FOOD/DRINK:
The food was simply amazing!!!!!! Eldon and Jackie Thompson have long been my favorites and they definitely did not disappoint. Chinese, jerk pork and an array of other tasty dished all won but points from me. All night long I saw people heading to the shrimp station and walking back with full plates. I swear they had the whole Bubba Gump shrimp company in the corner.

Drinks flowed and it was all from the top shelf. Scotch, Vodka, Wine or whatever was your preference was in abundance and never ran out. Had to keep reminding the bartenders that it was not a club night and they could feel free to pour a double as it was all on the UTC's bill.

SERVICE:
The staff of the UTC were all welcoming and some extra cute so from entrance ot exit they really made one feel welcome. Need to work on ensuring that even at corporate events Zen has enough bartenders especially in the main bar but despite the four to five minute wait it was acceptable.

COST/VALUE:
The event was the perfect price - FREE!!!!!!!!

I sorta wanted to leave a tp for the UTC people but I will make sure to check out some of their great investment opportunities and put the tips in there. Can you say the tip that keeps on giving!!!
