Major shout out to ShorBlu for a nice night out and holding down the TJJ family and to the love we get each and every time from the line up of DJs. And I definitely have to point out the flyer and teaser trailer with a scene from Madonna's "Justify My Love" video. It was perfect and defined everything sexy, seductive and Risque.

CROWD:
Where was everyone this year? Risque did not have a grand turn out as it did last year but some lovely familiar faces came out for ShorBlu's annual Thanksgiving night event. Some of Vice's After Work crowd came out for their weekly Thursday lime. They took it up a notch on the sexy scale, for an event dedicated to allure, sensuality and seductiveness.

VENUE/ACCESSIBILITY:
Finding a park easily is always a plus (two thumbs up). Aspen Lounge really set the mood for Risque. Clean and spacious with a chic decor. Aspen definitely had that ski lodge feel but with a little city twist. Glass deer heads lined the wall behind the bar, above the everlasting amount of top shelf liquor. The venue was dimly lit with unique, eye catching light fixtures, and a wall covered with tiny white lights, gave Aspen a nice vibe for a chilly Thanksgiving night. There was a warm energy. . . or it could have just been the temperature of the dance floor. Hardly anyone used the bright white lounge chairs, everyone was out on their floor taking a whine and singing their life away, making the room extremely hot, but once you stepped over between the bar and the dj booth, the temperature quickly changed.

VIBES:
Everyone seemed to be well fed and in a good mood. Nothing but smiles surrounded the room, which is always a plus. . . nobody wants to be in a party full of sour, hard faces ;) . Freeks 4 Soca, Back 2 Basics, Sounds 4 Life and PanTrin Vibes were all in the building, blasting a wide variety of soca, reggae, hip hop, old school r&b, 80's pop classics, and of course some parang, getting everyone in the mood during the holiday season! Sexy models danced around the unlit fire place in the center of the room, oiled up in underwear, leather, studded brassiere, and whips in hand, staying true to the Risque theme.

SERVICE:
ShorBlu always shows TJJ love each every time, at each and every event, no different for Risque. Getting inside Aspen was quick and easy for partygoers. No hassle at all. Staff was friendly, bartenders were really friendly, shout out to Miss Nicole, we had a nice little convo about vintage clothing as she served up drinks, while I lounged by the bar for a bit.

FOOD/DRINK:
The bar was fully stocked with an abundance of drinks, but it wasn't ram with partygoers. It was easy  getting a spot at the bar to lean, and quickly order a drink.

COST/VALUE:
Ladies got in free before 12a.m, they also got a free complimentary drink between 11p.m and 12a.m.  Guys also got a break with reduced entry before 12:30a.m. You cant go wrong, if you got there later you ended up paying $20.
