All is in readiness for the party. The venue is being prepared for the comfort of all revelers to facilitate easy access to food and drink. The stage is being strategically placed to give all fans a good view of the acts no matter where they are in the venue.

Destra Enthralls Mas Camp Crowd


Destra’s scintillating performance of over one hour on the Mas Camp stage at Bacchanal Live left no  doubt that she is, indeed, the undisputed Queen of Soca.  It was difficult to believe that her high energy routine was done with the handicap of a lame ankle. Her first song “Fallin” was a tribute to her Jamaican soca family, which had shown her such warm and generous support after her accident through their many social media messages.

Kingston, Jamaica (Sonique Solutions) – After 8+ years of unforgettable events in Washington DC, Bermuda and Miami, the Hookie life team is taking its flagship event, ‘Hookie’ to Jamaica for its debut on Friday April 6th, 2018 as part of the island’s Carnival’s festivities.

Hookie, comes from the term ‘playing hookie’ and means to skip out on one’s obligations in order to have fun, will bring its ‘stay home from work to fete’ concept to beautiful Jamaica in fine fashion.

Patrick the Hype Man, DJ Private Ryan and DJ Cruise kept the Bacchanal Jamaica Rum for Breakfast party vibes high going into the afternoon last Saturday.  Patrons reluctantly filed out of the party venue at the Hope Zoo only after DJ Cruise turned the music off. “This is, bar none, the best soca party I have attended in a really long time” said one satisfied fan. “The music was hype, the food was good and the liquor great, a perfect menu for a soca breakfast”, said another.

Bacchanal director Michael Ammar announced a new partnership for Bacchanal Jamaica as it pursues its mission of Rebirth for 2018. He noted that, “Downsound Entertainment, through its Reggae Sumfest Brand, will be the presenting sponsor of Bacchanal Live, to be held on Friday March 23 at the Mas Camp; the first live event of the season which will feature Queen of Bacchanal Destra and the Bakanal band.
