    There's nothing worse than getting hyped up for a good quality soca injection with the people from your carnival crew and then finding out somebody can't go.

    You talk about going to a fete and you can just see yourself having a good time with your friends when all of a sudden life gets in the way and your friend texts you and says, "Sorry, I can't make it this weekend."

    The look on all of our faces at that moment is priceless.

    I Love To Masturdate
    ================

    I'm not sure about you but I absolutely love to masturdate.
    And yes, I'm married but I need some alone time and when I do masturdate, it's usually to soca. And sometimes I do it by myself and sometimes with large groups of people.  I don't mind if people watch. I really doesn't bother me at all. And, if I'm honest, I kinda like it.

    If you've never masturdated before you should MOST DEFINITELY do it. It will allow you to get in touch with your "inner feter" and you will learn exactly what YOU need in order to have the most intense roadgasm possible.

    I am in no way a master chef but I can make a fantastic spaghetti dinner.   Now, everybody who has eaten spaghetti knows that the quality of a good spaghetti has less to do with the noodles and more to do with the sauce. When a person critiques a plate of spaghetti they are actually critiquing the quality of the sauce.  Well, that is how most of us critique fetes.

    We don't critique the "noodles" but we do critique the "sauce."  Well, there is one fete which I have attended every year since 2012 during their first annual fete.  And over the years they have served different appetizers, changed up the dinnerware and even the venue BUT I go back year after year because the "spaghetti" is of a high quality because they understand the secret to making the sauce.

    The Carnival Doctor Provides 3 Reasons Why You Should Walk Naked Over Broken Glass To Get To Orlando, Phoenix and/or Atlanta Carnival

    1. If you are a Carnival Virgin then the smaller carnivals such as Orlando, Atlanta, Houston, Hollywood, etc.,. are an EXCELLENT way to get acclimated to the carnival scene

    There are very few parties in the United States that I really get ramped up and excited for but, there a few.

    I can tell you right now that I'm looking forward to and awaiting the arrival of Soca Brainwash in Miami Carnival in 2015. I am also looking forward to the Arrivals Fete during Miami Carnival this year.  And the Vale Breakfast Fete in Miami is awesome as well.  I've never been to Vaughn's Red Eye Breakfast Party in New York, but from what I understand, I need to put it on my soda can list. (FYI, my soda can list is like my bucket list but the items are not as massive.)

    But, one party that I look forward to, without a doubt is the Flag Fete in Orlando, FL during the Orlando Carnival weekend.

    The carnival movement must permeate the fabric of our society.

    More love and less hate is necessary. More deaths which follow the natural progression of life are necessary.  Not lives which are cut short because love was not at the forefront of the thought process.

    If you were ever on the fence about going to carnival or not sure that you should go, I'm telling you right now - YOU NEED TO GO.

    And it's not because of the partying, the wining, the jumping, the paint, the powder, the mud, the oil, the costumes, the soca, the trucks, the men, the women, the fetes or the all-inclusives. It is because there are few places on the planet, and I've been all over the world, where love is the principle order of the day. There are few places on the planet where there is an understood "no judgement" policy.  And there are too few times when you can actually go to a place and be so filled with love and good vibes that you, as an individual, can become a carrier of such a virus and infect others with it.

    On the 25th of April in Miami at Virginia Key Beach in Key Biscayne Generation X had their GenXRedAntz J'ouvert Band Launch.  The event was held from 10pm to 4am.

    I attended and here's what I have to say.........

    ===========
    Introduction
    ===========

    For all intents and purposes, if you are reading this piece of written articulation  you are a Soca Junkie. That means that you love soca music and you listen to it morning, midday and night. You are most likely also a carnival junkie. Meaning, if there is a carnival,  you are there. You love going to the big carnivals and hit some of the small ones in between because you need a good soca injection. And if you are reading this, there is a good chance that you are a fete junkie. Meaning, you can't wait to get in a fete and get on bad and it doesn't matter who is there or not there. When you reach, de ting now start. And it doesn't matter if there is just one person in there or 4000, you are going to have a good time.

    But this fete was not about the soca junkies, or the fete junkies or the carnival junkies.

    The GenXRedAntz J'ouvert Band Launch was for a special subset of the carnival population.

    Get Yourself Into A Good Position Now.

    A Friendly Piece
    of Advice
    ============

    Just like in a race, you will want to jockey for a good position before the race even starts. This will help you for sure.  Carnival veterans don't mind helping you but NOW is the time to start asking for help, not when they are trying to get in their last jump for the year in Miami or during Labor Day or when they are preparing for Cropover.

    Now is the time to ask for advice and to let them know you are serious.

    "The Feeling".....
    ============

    It is the feeling that I've never had to experience before because I always go to TNT, so I'm never in that crew or group of people that are sad, jealous, vex and happy-for-you-but-pissed-off at the same damn time.

    I found myself doing what my friends that aren't able to make it to Trinidad do with respect to Bacchanal Jamaica.  I started running from the TriniJungleJuice Facebook page and website because I didn't want to see the pictures. I disconnected myself from social media outlets. I started trying to listen to different types of music instead of soca. (I said, I tried. I was unsuccessful because nothing helps you get through a workout like soca!)

    I was literally trying to run and hide because I didn't want to hear anyone ask me the dreaded question one more time, "Dred, you in Jamaica dis year?"

    Carnival is an escape from real life.  It's a time where we can run away literally and virtually and be free. And then we can put on our favorite song or mix and close our eyes and zone out and be right back on the road or in the fete with our friends.  It allows us to escape.  To run away.  To make a way to live in the real by holding on to the dream.

    There would be nothing greater than if we as a community of soca lovers could get together, once a month and meet on the road, behind a truck, with drinks flowing and dance until our feet hurt and our spirits are emptied from hate and filled with joy.   Carnival is such a beautiful time that the better time you have, the worse the tabanca experience is.
