TONY WYLIE Trinidadian Dave Anthony Wylie, better know as, Tony Wylie began his singing and musical journey in a church group at a young age. Years later he moved on to play the bass guitar with a Parang group. In 1991 He did his first Soca recording. In the earlier part of 1994 he met Garfield Blackman, better known as Ras Shorty I, who served as a great source of inspiration to him. Later that year in 1994 Tony went on to be a finalist in the National Song Festival. Being good friends with the Father of Soca, "Ras Shorty I" taught Tony valuable life lessons, which helped broaden his musical background. Up to this day you can still hear the strong musical influence in his music. From 2001 to 2005 Tony worked as a musician playing a broad spectrum of Caribbean music for Carnival Cruise Lines with his band, "Joy". He released his first album "I'm So Blessed" in 2006. In 2007 Tony migrated to the U.S. Not long after he formed his band, "Tony Wylie & Islands." Shortly after, he released another single "Just in Time." In 2008 he released his first video recording with the single, "I Feel Like Dancing," which is being seen throughout the Caribbean and various parts of the world.
