Born
in Scarbough Ontario, at 21, Trevor Nigel has proven himself in any challenge
he has taken on.
Spending
his childhood in Toronto and moving between Toronto and Fort Lauderdale has helped
him define his musical style. Described as a clash of sounds, Trevor Nigel uses
a variety of musical influences. Often in his sounds you can hear underground
hip hop mixed with commercial rap, soca combined with reggae, rock with R&B
and the list goes on.
In
1999, he released a collection of tracks and freestyles, which had a massive internet
following but also sparked a tremendous controversy with a rival artist and created
massive amounts of death threats and hatemail.
In
2004, he met up with former Red Line Records owner, to combine and form Underworld
Entertainment, backed with a fully equipped recording studio.
During
2005, Trevor Nigel's popularity has been on the rise in the Caribbean community
with the release of his website Trevor-Nigel.com
which has the popular talkshow section. As he pursues his modeling, acting and
musical career, he will try to unite Canadian and U.S audiences as one. With no
Canadian rap artist able to bridge the gaps, Trevor Nigel will continue where
those that have tried left off.
