With the word sleep barely existing in our vocabulary for the past few days, it was time to buss out de Visine again along with some coffee as this rounds we were off to the Ultra All Inclusive Day Fete FIESTA.

Held at the Miami Metro Zoo there was ample free parking for everyone and seeing that TJJ arrived later than expected we were on the inside in no time. The venue reminded us of another All Inclusive party in TnT with the hanging paper lanterns and bright colours truly a festive feeling. Loved the way the "zoo" was decorated and don't worry there were no cages or animals anywhere near the Fiesta! The stage located at the front was nicely elevated giving fetegoers a chance to catch all the action. And there were 2 bars & 2 food stations located towards the back.

As always our first stop is the bar which much to our benefit moved relatively quickly and the drinks were well mixed. In other words, they were not stingy with the liquor... Nice! With drinks under control, it was time to make ah b-line for the food, and seeing that we had arrived late we only had a few minutes as food was being served till 9pm. For those of us that ate, we chose to enjoy some Chow Mein, Chinese style chicken and fried rice and although the food was great the general consensus was that the portions could have been bigger. And why did they run out of Roti just when it was our turn to eat? Just our luck! But there was phoulourie and corn soup served at a later time, which by the way was off da chain.

An all star DJ line up of Back 2 Basics (NY), Dorenzo (MIA), DJ Rambo (MIA), Anonymous (NY), Super Jigga TC (Trinibashment 91.9FM), DJ Stephen (ATL) & Sprang Int'l (DC), kept the vibe on track as they mashed up on the one's on two's giving the crowd ah bit of everything. We talkin bout' from the energetic 2006 Soca hits to all dem back in time tunes dat had every man looking for ah bottom to take ah small wine! The performances kicked off around 9:30ish and the energy of the party instantly rose. All the artists - Bunji Garlin, Faye-Ann Lyons, Ms Alysha and Kevin Lyttle were well received and seeing that the venue was spacious, there was ample room for people to jump up and enjoy themselves. Poor Empress Jeanille, VJ for MTV Tempo (Downtown Island), was introducing one of the artists when some technical difficulties came up and the artist did not come out on stage. She did a great job trying to entertain the crowd in the meantime. You go, girl!

In no time it was just past 11pm and we only realized this as the bar had closed and the last tune was playing ... steeeeups! Now you know how West Indians like to lime so in order to get the crowd moving, the Trinbago Massive Rhythm Section kicked off, and like the pied piper chipped along to the exit taking most of the crowd with them. Security had to ask us to leave! LOL

Much thanks to Miami Fly Girls, Rango and Party People for allowing TJJ to party "Fiesta" style ... much fun was had by all. This is surely one not to miss next year peoples!
