Wow, time surely flies when you having fun... the grande finale has arrived, Grand Kadooment! We slept in a little longer than we wanted, arriving at the National Stadium around 1 PM... no thanks to the babylon that made us walk about half a mile instead of getting a drop right in front the stadium because he was on some power trip. Real ka-kahole business. As we pull up, Berger Boyz and Campus Boyz were now making their way out the stadium, so we started to snap some pics as we slowly made our way up to the first band.

Now all bands make their way from the National Stadium to Spring Garden where masqueraders jump up, wuk up and wine down to the pulsating rythym of soca music right thru. The route is actually through a number of small roads with lots of non-revelers and bystanders on both sides of the street looking on from the pavements or their homes... with the occasional person jumping in a band trying to steal a wuk up. We must say that were lots of police officers on the road trying to maintain a fun, yet peaceful atmosphere. The sun was basking hot, so we know revelers enjoyed the shower stalls set up along the route. Even in the bands you would see revelers jumping under the water hose for a quick wet down from time to time. And even more original, some smallies were running around with their mini fans attached to a water bottle blowing a cool, wet breeze on people. One of our very own BIM Jungle Juice crew even get what we would like to call a "Balls Cooler!!" (look carefully at pic 096 and 097). That's a first in TJJ history yes!! ;-)

When we bounce up Baje International, the action start since that was were most of the TJJ Crew and Friends of the Jungle were playing mas. Definitely a nice crowd in this band with pure nice vibes... even Rupee had a section and provided on d'road entertainment. "In ah frenzy.... In ah frenzy.... a a aaaa..." That said, we never made it beyond Baje Int'l. And we really was looking forward to taking a jump up with the Power X 4 crew. Next year for sure. When we reached Spring Garden, we take ah quick last jump and then headed over to the park/rest area for Baje Int'l to grab some food. The food line up was not bad at all since we reach late and most masqueraders already got their food, but the drinks line was another story... so we overs the soft drinks and continued sippin' on the drinks we still had from the road. By the way, we still trying to figure out the drinking out of a sauce pan thingy??!! Is that a Bajan ting or wha?

Oh, here's the 2006 Crop Over Road March Results:
1. Jabae ft. Barry Chandler - Flames
2. Contone - My Car Brek Down
3. Lil Rick - Unity Jam

Until next year gentle peoples. We heading over to St. Maarten to cool down with some more cocktails (with umbrellas) on the beach... Trini Jungle Juice signing out from Barbados Crop Over 2006!!
