This Carnival de fete coverage schedule was ah bit tight. After breaking out from Trini Posse'07 fete down Chaguaramas, de crew headed straight to Dawn "Sunrise in the City". Well, we arrived there just as the fete said, at sunrise! Unfortunately as such, we missed most of the night’s line up, but were still able to capture some of de action. So worry not loyal TJJ viewers!

Now when de sun begins to rise, things in this jam begins to get ah bit wild...... and wet may we add. It's definitely not a place for the faint of heart or for those folks who want to remain all dolls up and pretty pretty. At about twenty past five, the band Caribbean Traffik took the stage. When lead singers Shurwayne Winchester, Candy Hoyte and Sean Caruth started prompting the water truck men to open de gate, is when de real euphoria start. It was water in a rage! We doh think anybody could have escaped de wetting yes. Even some of the sound equipment on stage got a little taste of de wetting. Shurwayne undoubtedly had full control over the entire crowd, commanding them to do as he ordered with the slightest of ease, especially with his big 2K7 hit "Open The Gate" which stirred up a sensation amongst patrons. Well if is one thing you didn't want to be, was a dry patron amongst the wet revellers. Such a disposition would have changed very quickly.

Just when we thought things could not get any wilder, the man who asks de question “What de people want?” came on stage. What is de answer to that question Mr. Mashing Up Fete (the artists formerly known as Iwer George)??!! ..... "WATER"!! That’s right. Selector run de big tune, "If Trinidad on fire .... If Tobago on fire ... What de people want .... Watah!!

Well we running on reserves by now. After Iwer mash up de place, we decided to call it ah night. Funny though, the sun was beating down hard and we saying night still :-) Time to recharge our batteries with some sleep and gear up for de next set of fetes for the 2007 Fetealotathon®. Before we go, TJJ also wants to extend our congratulations to Neil Iwer George, the new International Soca Monarch winner for 2007. We wonder how Team TJJ doing at de other breakfast parties.... Vale and Sunny Side Up?
