Carnival Friday people and we just going fete after fete after fete ... we not stopping - sometimes two in one night ... . "tell dem we breathless". Jenny's Car Park is the location for our shing ding tonight - Girl Power - one of ISLANDpeople's prestigious events for the Carnival season.

Strolling in about midnight - you know the usual time hahahaha - just right in time to see Denise "Saucy Wow" Belfon performing her songs for this and previous years. She as usual must call up on stage a "dude" for her to mash up. This has to be the worst I have ever seen Denise mess up ah man on stage. The man tell Saucy, "Yeah you will mash me up, but after just big up the 'Five-O' crew." Denise promptly replied, "The crew has three people in it!!" After some laughs, she began telling him what to do, but the young man was so defiant. She then exclaimed, "Ladies, this man right here is one of those men who don't listen to what it is we women want, please get off my stage, allyuh tell him get off the stage please". Denise then gave us an unbelievable performance of both her bicycle & tricycle wine. Well boy, this young lady could real move up herself. Saucy, thanks for the performance ... you still have it real fresh!!!

Now taking in the party properly, the car park was split into two with VIP on the right side of the stage (if facing the stage), while general admission was on the left. In general admission there was a Machel Montano HD tent selling paraphernalia and all sorts of goodies for the insatiable fans of the Soca artiste. From jerseys to posters to simple stuff like wavers ... HD ent playing around with business, yes!

Destra Garcia and the ever evolving Atlantik band was on stage next. So we are bubbling to Destra and her sexy body dancers behind her. The bass guitarist even had on a curly afro wig (photo) ... most entertaining. Destra's performance was immaculately spectacular. She surprised us with dancehall superstar Sean Paul making his way on stage for their track "Free It Up". She also showed him how to wine - which in our eyes was more like a standing dry hump session. As Sean Paul said, "You the teacher, I am the student". Hahaha ... good stuff. Destra, ah loving yuh performance this year babe ... keep it up! You is good stuff ... Boop Boop Boop!! Let's not forget her special dancers in the back ... well boy … dem girls could pelt some waist! Atlantik then brought on stage Antigua's Tizzy for her to sing her tunes. Look out for some exclusive interviews with Tizzy, 3Suns, Sean Paul and Destra.

KES the Band with Nadia Batson was up next on the stage. No matter how many times we see dance group Eclectik get brought back to life by the energetic wining of two sexy women, it's as entertaining as the 1st time. "Roboman" say Wine!

It was then High Definition time! Opening their performance with "Blaizin' D Trail", Machel's performance was the by far the best I have seen for the season (yeah I only came in the Sunday before - you know how the foreign crew do it). HD was accompanied on stage by Zan ("Out On De Road"), Patrice Roberts ("Mo Wuk", "Thunder Waist"), Farmer Nappy ("Chippin'"), Ricky T ("Pressure Boom") and Macka Diamond ("Wukkin Up Remix") who all performed their respective tunes for the season or whatever collaborations they had with the local artistes. One must mention that Macka Diamond and her "Hula Hoop" song is still a hit, and she praised Patrice for her version of the dance - which ah must say, she have it lock!

Party was supposed to finish at 6:00am, but nah the everlasting HD told the police to cool it and dance went until minutes to seven in the morning. Hahahahaha. Seriously, the police give the promoters them a bligh and we went partying until sun come up. Big up d Boys in Blue! What was even more hilarious was telling neighbours, who were now getting up to sweep their yards (with cocoyea broom too), "Morning" as we got into our cars to go home!

So ... Best Music - YES, Sexy Body Woman - YES, Good Vibes - YES, No Violence - Yes .... ISLANDpeople Girl Power - YES!!!!!!!!
