On Wednesday January 16th, Machel Montano HD was "Blazin D Trail" at the famous Zen nightclub to promote his latest album 'Flame On', which will be available on Friday January 25th, 2008.

11pm and the massives lined up outside Zen so they could bear witness to all the new material the HD band would be revealing. And for the 2008 season, the band's repertoire has mainly consisted of 2007 and prior material with "Unconditional", "Make Love" and "Blazin D Trail" being the only three new releases in the mix. So yes, even TJJ was a lil' excited to hear HD's new stuff!

With the album strategically releasing one day before his Alternative Concept 3+3 concert, the HD band got on-stage minutes after 1am to a filled house. Montano claimed to not have gotten any sleep for the past 24 hours, but was still in good spirit because of his unconditional love for soca and his fans. He even joked around with come fans in front the stage who were busy talking and liming instead of listening to his show.

Machel eventually treated the Zen crowd to brand new tracks to be featured on the 'Flame On' album. "Oil and Music", a groovy song done with calypso icon David Rudder, together with a continuation to their 2007 hit "Down D Road" and a combination with rappers Pitbull and Lil' Jon on a popular house riddim titled "Defense".

"Rollin", another big combination with Patrice Roberts, was the last new released performed with a catchy hooks "In D Air" and "Feeling Real Slack". It's going to be a huge tune... trussss. Road March 2008? We'll have to wait and see.

AC 3+3, which will be held at the National Stadium on Saturday January 26th, will no doubt be another great show, and Machel says that he's expecting over 45,000 patrons to come out and show their support. With a cast of wicked local and international performers, you don't have to ask twice where TJJ will be!
